Hinds Professor of History of Science, Department of History, and by courtesy the d-school, Stanford University. She received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1984.

She traces the development of a colonial medical complex from the 1760s, 2017-08-18 Londa Schiebinger is well known for her scholarly publications in this field, and a number of the chapters draw on these.
